Catherine
paints almost every day. Painting gives
her the
opportunity to naturally express her passion for scenes from her memory
and her
imagination. She is self taught and does not always copy scenes, but
rather
seeks to
capture the moment and express feelings directly in her work.
Over the past few years
Catherine has involved herself
in commission works. These works have included strong urban scenes of
Italy and
France, often involving the customary long lunches, food and wine.
Her Still Life series has a level of intensity with a refined sense of
colour. These rich
and vibrant paintings capture a lifestyle, decor and magic moment when
time
stands still.
