Catherine’s landscape techniques give an illusion that the viewer is part of the scene, the sheer beauty, with a touch of Contemporary technique. Her landscapes likens to the joy of music, in light and dark forms which reflects on her emotions at the time. Catherine’s subject matters often change, she goes with the flow, it makes life more interesting. Painting to Catherine is a compulsion, a psychological need to respond to her feelings with a strong photographic memory that distracts her. Her paintings are a symbol of the power of the mind, where all inspirations are conjured up. She has no choice, dreams and visions are conjured up, it needs to be done. Its about being present at the moment, at peace with a positive outlook in these challenging circumstances in life. She thinks of others when they experience what goes on behind each of my paintings, its the peace that that it brings, “Is so much happiness allowed”.
